This set features the Cackling Blood Skull from our Monsters of Madness series.
The Cackling Blood Skull symbol replaces the highest value on each die.
The skull replacing the max number on every die took a session to get used to, but now rolling a crit feels way more dramatic. Numbers are crisp and easy to read even in dim light.
The detail on the cackling blood skull is genuinely impressive for the price, and it's a nice touch that it sits in place of the highest number on every die. Rolls feel fair so far, no bias that I can tell.
The skull replacing the highest value on every die is such a creepy touch—it makes every roll feel like it's mocking you. The set arrived in great shape and the numbers are easy to read despite the spooky theme. My table immediately wanted to steal them.
